Provo Turf Trade grows

Earlier this year Provo Turf Trade (PTT) wrapped up the second year of its unconventional programming. Nearly doubling in size for 2024, PTT grew ninety-six percent (96%) in 2024 in terms of bags sold. Participation rates, or the number of households grew at a modest thirty three percent (33%.)  Project size increased twenty six percent (26%) from two thousand seven hundred square feet (2700 sqft.) to three thousand four hundred square feet (3400 sqft.) between 2023 and 2024.

Over three hundred (303) households or one point five percent (1.5%) of eligible Provo residents currently participate in the Turf Trade program. This modest section offers a water saving potential of twenty-two acre-feet (22Af) or seven point one million gallons (7.1 million gal.) annually. 
While the Provo Turf Trade program has ended for the year, Turf Trade and other TWCA qualified products are available through TWCA Industry members. Utah members  Chanshare Farms offer TWCA Qualified sod. member Granite Seed offers TWCA Turf Trade blends among its TWCA qualified offerings. Biograss Sod Farms, offers TWCA qualified sod and seed in their portfolio. ​
